Policy Regarding Cancellation / No Show / Early Departure
In the event of cancellation of travel arrangements due to any reasons – we must be notified of the same in writing. Cancellation charges will be effective from the time/date we receive your intimation in writing.
Cancellation charges would be as follows:
The deposits on the tours having special offers are NON-REFUNDABLE.
Please note – Irrespective of above-mentioned cancellations slabs – in case of cancellation of tour services after the booking is made with us – a minimum 10% service charges will be applicable.
In the case of special train journey (e.g Palace on Wheels, Deccan Odyssey, Royal Orient Maharaja exp etc.) and high peak season bookings ( 20th Dec to 15th Jan) a separate cancellation policy is applicable (which would be advised, as and when required).
Also there is a separate cancellation policy for some hotels like Oberoi hotels: Hotel The Oberoi New Delhi , Amar Vilas Agra , Raj Vilas Jaipur , Vanya Vilas Ranthambhore , Udaivilas Udaipur ,Trident hotels , Taj Hotels, Casino Group of Hotels, Hotel Imperial New Delhi as these hotels are charging for 1 night retention charges if cancelled or amended 30 days in advance & retention for entire stay in cancelled or amended 8 days in advance .
There are few a hotels , which normally ask for non- refundable deposit at the time of booking for example – hotels in Goa during peak period, Bangaram Island Resort – Lakshadweep, hotels in Buddhist sector , Port Blair, Surya Samudra in Kovalam, Kabini River Lodge, Teekhi Magri in Rajasthan, Haveli Braj Bhushan Ji in Bundi Rajasthan , hotels in Hospet & Badami, hotels in Maldives etc. Therefore you are requested to please check with us regarding the refund policy for above mentioned hotels.
In case you cancel the trip after commencement refund would be restricted to a limited amount that too would depend on the amount that we would be able to recover from the hoteliers we patronize for unused hotel accommodation, chartered transportation and missed meals etc. we do not bear any responsibility to refund.
In case of Special Trains Journeys and/or peak season hotel bookings, a separate cancellation policy is applicable which we shall advise you as and when Applicable. In case you cancel the trip after commencement, refund would be restricted to a limited amount, which too would depend on the amount that we would be able to recover from our suppliers of services i.e. hotels/transporters etc. For unused hotel accommodation, chartered transportation & missed meals, guide services etc. there will be no refund.
Refund : Regarding to refund of unused / unutilized services (which are paid for and cancelled in advance) the refund amount would be worked out based on cancellation policy as described above and the money would be accordingly refunded to the person who has made the payment to us. Please note that the refund process may take 2 – 4 weeks due to banking procedures. If the refund is made to the credit card account OR to Bank account, the bank charges will be debited from the refund amount.
Check-In – 1200 Hours
Early arrival is subject to availability. For guaranteed early check-in, reservation needs to be made starting from the previous night.
Check – Out – 1200 Hours
Later check-outs are available on request and subject to availability / Payment
Payments
For the services contracted, some advance payment should be made to hold the booking on confirmed basis & the balance amount can be paid either before your arrival or upon arrival in INDIA – but before the commencement of the services. . Sahil Tours hold the right to decide on the amount to be paid as advance payment, based on the nature of service & the time left for the commencement of the service. In certain cases, like Train Journeys, hotels or resorts bookings during the peak season (Christmas/ New Year) or during fairs/festivals, full payment may be required in order to hold space on CONFIRMED BASIS. Please note that such payments are NON-REFUNDABLE.
Mode of Payment
Advance payment can be made through Bank Transfer, credit cards or via PayPal. We accept Master and Visa Credit cards. Upon arrival in INDIA, the payment can be made in cash or credit card through card swap. In case of payment through credit card, 5% of total amount for bank processing fee would be applicable on the amount being paid by the credit card.
